About Meridian

Built because every other app
made us feel worse.

Meridian started as personal frustration. Every productivity app assumed the problem was not working hard enough. The streaks, daily goals, guilt notifications — all of it assumed the student was the problem. We decided to try a different assumption.

What we believe

01

Energy over output

Most productivity tools optimize for how much you do. We optimize for how you feel while doing it. A student who studies 4 hours with full presence learns more than one grinding 12 hours on empty.

02

Rhythm over streaks

Streaks punish you for being human. Rhythm accommodates it. Missing a day doesn't break your rhythm — it's just one note in a longer song. We built Meridian so coming back feels easy, not shameful.

03

Honest, not cheerful

We won't send motivational notifications. We won't celebrate a 5-minute session like it changed the world. We'll tell you what's actually true about how you've been studying — because that's what's useful.

04

Rest is the work

The research is unambiguous. Rest — real rest — is when your brain consolidates what you've learned, restores cognitive resources, and prepares for the next effort. We built rest into the app as a philosophy, not a feature.

The founder

Rithik Sudhakar

I built Meridian from Chennai while balancing trading and building. I wasn't a student burned out by exams — I was someone burned out by trying to do everything at once without ever knowing when to stop.

The insight was simple: the problem wasn't the amount of work. It was never knowing how I actually felt about it. Meridian is the tool I needed and couldn't find.
